Vertical transport of pellets to silo using spiral conveyor
Long distance pellet transport
Materials to be transported: Sawdust wet and dry, Cutter shavings, Pellets and rejects.
The solution included nearly 100 screw conveyors in several different sizes and lengths. Horizontal and vertical as well as inclined screw conveyors, receiving bins for sawdust and cutter chips
Shaftless screw conveyors from size 250 to 600 mm with capacities from 5-100 cubic meters per hour in lengths from 2 to 43 meters
There are 8 interacting spirals in the receiving bin for shavings and the hopper bin with scrapers with a volume of 80 cubic meters for wet shavings
Why the customer chose this solution:
An efficient, clean and flexible way to move material between all the different machines, with very little maintenance and a long service life.
Materials to transport: 2D and 3D plastic
The solution was 2 lines with 3 30 m screw conveyors one after the other in each line. Sliding screws that drop the material axially into the next screw. A U-track with V-track cover and then aluminum cover. Each line transports the plastic about 90 meters with a capacity of 150 m3 per hour at a 5 degree slope.
Why the customer chose this solution:
A transport solution with very low maintenance and tight conveyors that provide a clean and good environment. Fireproof conveyors and good drainage function on water in the material that must not be released but must be burned.
Material to be transported: Pellets or Wood chips.
The challenge: transporting the fuel from the receiving bin to the boiler in a short distance but high altitude.
The solution was a mix of horizontal and inclined screws and a 20 meter high vertical.
Why the customer chose this solution:
A transport solution with very low maintenance and tight conveyors that provide a clean and good environment. Fireproof conveyors and a very efficient way to lift the fuel high vertically.
Materials to transport: Paint buckets, spray cans, oil filters, etc.
The solution was inclined screw conveyors as they are tight and we could drain liquid residues that are abundant. An effective way to get paint and oil out while transporting.
The transported volumes are 5 cubic meters / h and lengths up to almost 20 meters with a slope of 20 – 35 degrees.
Why the customer chose this solution:
A transport solution with very low maintenance and tight conveyors that provide a clean and good environment. Fireproof conveyors and good drainage function.
Materials to be transported: sewage sludge/grit
The solution was a transportation system where we transport the sewage sludge and the grit.
The customer chose this solution because the technical solution met their needs.
The solution has been cost-effective, low maintenance costs.
Materials to be cooled and transported: Pellets
The spiral feeder consists of a 4 mm EN 1.4301 frame
to which is welded a spiral chute B=200 mm
The frame is resiliently suspended from a square tube stand
fitted with four support legs intended to be bolted to the existing
floor structure.
The vibrations are generated by two 4-pole motor vibrators of
850 W each. When coupled together, they provide
directional vibrations, enabling vertical transport with volumes up to 7 cubic meters/h.
Why the customer chose this solution:
A compact solution that both cools and lifts the material at the same time and with a high capacity.
The solution was approx. 13 meters of horizontal conveyors and two pieces of vertical screws of 8 meters.
The conveyors are in size 500mm and have a capacity of approx. 40m³/hour.
As sewage sludge management is heavily regulated, PST could be part of the solution for customers to burn their sludge instead of costly landfills. Njudung Energi generates and sells hot/hot water that is sent out to the local district heating network.
The solution was approx. 80 meters of horizontal conveyors and a 9 meter vertical screw and they have been in operation since 2008.
The conveyors are 700mm in size and have a capacity up to 350 m³/h. and are connected to the plant’s filter system.
The longest of the horizontal conveyors is suspended by wire instead of multiple legs to the ground. This created a long span that allowed the customer to continue using the road under the conveyor.
